It looks like we are shaping up for a busy axing season! I am not sure if there is such a thing, I am still not sure if axing is a proper word. But the good news is I have gotten quite a good amount of response and a lot of people in need of axe help and services.
I will of course keep everyone posted on my jobs and make sure to document them with pictures and such on here!
Also, I have received a couple of really great e-mails about my services and it looks like I may even have been contacted by a fellow do-gooder who is willing to help me put together a real site as opposed to this blogspot business. Hopefully I will get that up by Monday or Tuesday!!
Thank you everyone!

New axing services.....
So I was writing up a new ad and was trying to make the joke about "axing employees" and I thought to myself, why not? I have axed more difficult things before. So if you would like me to come to your office and axe an employee in my lumberjack garb please let me know.
As always here are the copies of posts for today. I did one in LA to see if there is anyone out there that may need some axing.

Paul B. here, your local lumberjack.
If you need any lumberjacking or axe services let me know.
Including axing trees, firewood, or employees. (Just kidding about the employees. Unless you really want to have me come to the office in my lumberjack garb and fire them, which I would be happy to do)
Thanks so much!!

Love and Hate Rollercoaster Ride....
So I was super excited to get some fan mail and even some emails expressing interest in watching me in action, almost like my own fan club. But then it came, that ominous flagged & removed e-mail from Craigslist. It seems like their might be some haters out there but I will stand strong axe in hand and values in pocket and fight through this silly diversity. But now my posts will be stealth and hopefully still just as fun and funny while continuing to be able to offer my services. As always they will be copied and posted on this blog.
Update- I have two people very interested in my help, I am very excited but also don't want to count chickens before they hatch so I will keep mum for now, but will post details as soon as they are solidified.
Give Peaxe a Chance,
John L.

My Axe Officially Has a Name....
So far the consensus has been that I am crazy. I don't disagree but since when has it been such a crazy thing for someone to want to go out of their way to help someone out with something so trivial? I mean back in the day neighborhood kids would come out and help carry groceries to ones car or split firewood for the elderly neighbor. Well my answer, its 2009 and my neighborhood is getting bigger.
In talking to friends and family about this desire to axe and help people at the same time the overwhelming response is: "You are going to get murdered." Now I understand the whole stigma behind Craigslist but come on, I am the one showing up with an axe. My buddy responded with "Never bring an axe to a gun fight" brilliant sentiment. My thoughts are: I have done quite a few transactions over Craigslist and everything has worked out just fine. In true contrarian form he brought up the point that he has done the same, but with friends or in public places. Well I am bringing a friend, Sam. Sam Axe named after Bruce Campbell's character on Burn Notice. I think Bruce would agree that it is a fitting name. So now my axe has a name.
Even though I have the purest of intentions in mind I can still understand that this might be intimidating to some. But I can assure you that I am here to help and want to pass on some great karma, and to not sound too much like a hippy I would much rather cut a tree down with an axe than have that same tree cut down with an emission spewing powertool.
Thanks for reading,
Paul B.

You read that right, get your Free Axing here!
Do you need a tree chopped down?
Do you need some firewood cut?
Do you have some other need for a burly axe wielding modern day urban lumberjack?
Just let me know I am willing to travel all I want in return is the ability to document the job and tell the story, oh and if you happen to have a flannel shirt or suspenders or any other old lumberjack type gear I would be happy to receive those items.
Thank you for reading. Keep up with the axe-ventures at http://axmeanything.blogspot.com,
Charlie Mackenzie

Yesterday was a bust.....
Day 2 in "The Epic Axe Saga"
Not only did it take me way too long to decide if axe was spelled ax or axe but I only got one response from the ad.
That one response was kind of crazy too, which I totally appreciated. The person asked if I would travel to Temple City, which first of all I don't think is in Orange County, secondly it is an hour and a half from me. I told the person that I would be willing to travel but that it would have to be on the weekend. He politely declined. I guess the strangest thing is that either the guy was looking on OC craigslist and needed axing so bad he couldn't resist asking or that he was seeking out someone to axe his stuff. Either way I am hopeful.
So I know it is weird asking someone to come by and chop down a tree for you but I promise I won't wear a hockey mask and my name is not Lizzie Borden.

So it begins.......
Have Ax... Will Travel - $1 (Orange County)

So, I bought an ax the other day and would like to get more use out of it. I am therefore offering my ax and my labor for any big or small jobs you may have around the Orange County area. I am available in the evening time as well as most weekends. I do not know anything about stump removal but I can swing an ax like Paul Bunyan.
If you are interested in my services let me know. I will probably post everyday in different sections. I will also be keeping up a blog that I just started where I will document the jobs and my encounters with the people I meet with their permission.
Oh and if you happen to have any lumberjack attire that you would like to donate to the cause. That would be awesome!
Thank you for reading,
Babe
